given pablo neruda’s “ode to all things” poem, the students are to sketch 21 objects/ideas/feelings in their sketchbook which they would put in an ode poem. in class we generate material together using inventive techniques in mark-making. this material gets shared during the in class collage/drawing sessions when we put the drawings from the sketchbook and snippets of text and mark-making together to create the books.
